A lot of people say that time is an illusion. What if time is all there is? What if time is everything? What if the universe were not made of space but of time? I believe this is an important aspect of understanding the concept of real time travel. I would call this type of universe the "chronoverse" after the Greek god Chronos. In this type of universe you wouldn't need any sort of machine to travel through time as the machine would be made of time itself, being part of the chronoverse. In essence time travel would have always existed as it can possibly now exist with this type of perception of a time based universe.
